ADVNC Director Chris Rotelli is one of the most accomplished lacrosse players of all time. Chris was a 3X NCAA All American, 2X First team All American, USILA Midfielder of the Year, 4X MLL All Star, 3X All ACC, ACC Player of the Year, and a 3X High School All American. In 2003 he lead University of Virginia to an NCAA Championship, and was honored as the ACC Male Athlete of the Year, and with the Tewaaraton Award, given to the nations most outstanding lacrosse player.
With over 15 years of coaching experience, Rotelli’s goal is to help young players achieve their dreams. With ADVNC Lacrosse, Chris translates his experiences, lessons, and achievements, passing along his secrets to lacrosse players who wish to reap all the benefits from the sport. Chris is the Head Coach at Sacred Heart Prep in Atherton, CA, and was honored as the PAL coach of the year in 2015.

Director of Training
Coach Weigel has an illustrious and rich lacrosse background. He played lacrosse at the University of Denver where he was a stand out attackman and midfielder. He is currently ninth all-time in career goals per game at DU. Greg grew up in Maryland playing for legendary coaches John Sothoron and Lenny Casalino, both of whom are in the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame. Over 4 years of high school Greg lead his team to a 62-11 record and the team never left the DC Metro Area Top 10. Weigel was named All- State, All-County, Southern Maryland Player of the Year, All-Met, and was a Kelly Award Finalist.
In addition to running the operations of ADVNC, Tyler is the Director of Lacrosse at Serra High School in San Mateo, CA. Before joining ADVNC, Tyler led business development and operations teams in education and early stage technology companies.
His coaching career began at Loyola High School in Los Angeles in 2003 before heading to UCSB where he coached defense from 2004 to 2005. There he helped lead the team to its second MCLA Championship in 2005. He was a Defensive Coordinator at Cal in 2007 before he took over as Head Coach at Bishop O’Dowd High School in Oakland from 2008-2011, where he also served as the Director of Admissions and Enrollment through 2014.
As a player, Tyler was a four-year starter at defense for the University of California, Berkeley from 1998 to 2001. During that time Cal won the MCLA National Championship(1998), was 2x MCLA semi-finalist and 2x WCLL champion. Tyler was captain in 2001, a 3x All-WCLL and 3x All-MCLA defenseman (1999-2001) and was named to the inaugural USA West teams of 2000, 2001 and 2002.
He is a Bay Area native from Alameda and has been involved with Bay Area lacrosse since 1994. He and his wife live in Redwood City with their sons Ethan and Logan.
ADVNC San Francisco Director
Coach Bond played lacrosse at Johns Hopkins University and has been coaching for over 25 years in Maryland, Connecticut, and California. For the past 10 years, he has been the head assistant coach at Menlo Atherton High School, Director of the Menlo Atherton Grizzlies, and the Director of SixFifty Lacrosse. Matt’s wife, Katie, is a clinical psychologist and they have an 11-year-old son.
OWEN VAN ARSDALE
ADVNC San Francisco Training Manager
Coach Van Arsdale is focused on coaching and training for all of the ADVNC SF teams and camps. Owen played at the University of Virginia, where he was a member of the 2011 National Championship team and team captain in 2015. Owen’s father Marc is Assistant Coach at Loyola University, and prior to that was Associate Head Coach at UVA. Owen grew up on the lacrosse fields at UVA, and has spent his life in lacrosse. Most recently Owen was the director of high school programs for Harlem Lacrosse from 2017-2019. He also coached at Frederick Douglass Academy for three seasons. The team won two New York City championships during his tenure and he coached three All-Americans.

Joe Sullivan has been playing and coaching lacrosse for 16 years in Northern California. He played at Granite Bay High School and was a member of the inaugural team in 2004. Joe then went on to play at Dominican University of California, and helped the team transition to an NCAA Division II program during his career as a player and coach. Joe currently lives in Granite Bay, CA with his wife Megan and their two children Katy and JJ.

ADVNC South Bay Director
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Mike Faby is the head coach of Archbishop Mitty High School, in San Jose. Prior to leading Mitty’s program Faby’s coaching career began in the most competitive high school lacrosse league in the country, the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA).
While coaching in the MIAA, Faby helped St. Paul’s School of Baltimore, MD, improve from 3-15 in 2012 to Quarterfinalist (2013) and MIAA Runner Up (2014). In 2015, Faby joined the staff at McDonogh School where the team earned a MIAA Championship appearance and #15 national ranking. In 2016, Coach Faby joined the staff at Denison University as the Offensive Coordinator. That season, Denison had one of the highest scoring (13.7 goals per game) and most efficient offenses (13 TO per game) in NCAA Division III and went on a 17 game winning streak before finishing 18-2 and #3 in the Nation.
As a player, Mike was a stand-out prep athlete at St. Paul’s. He was a 4 year starter and 2 time captain of the soccer team and 3 year starter in lacrosse. After helping his lacrosse team to a 15-4 season ending with a MIAA ‘A’ Conference Championship and a #4 national ranking, Mike continued playing at Johns Hopkins University where his teams received the #2 and #1 seeds in the NCAA Tournament, reaching the Quarterfinals both years. He graduated in 2014 with a degree in International Relations and a minor in Entrepreneurship and Management.
Mike currently resides in Santa Cruz and runs skill specific clinics throughout all ADVNC regions.
ADVNC South Bay Co-Director
Carlos played college lacrosse at the United State Military Academy at West Point from 1990 to 1994 including a trip to the NCAA Division I Quarterfinals in 1993.
His coaching career began at Stanford where he was the Defensive Coordinator from 1999 to 2002, helping lead that team to its first and only USCLA National Championship game in 2001. He then took over as Head Coach at Chapman University, again taking that team to its first National Championship appearance in 2003. Coach Trujillo spent 2005 as the Defensive Coordinator for Div II NDNU and was the Assistant Head Coach at Bellarmine College Prep from 2006 through 2008 and the Head Coach for Archbishop Mitty from 2009 to 2013.
Over the last 5 years, Coach Trujillo has been the Head Coach for the Mexican National Team, leading them in their inaugural World Championship in 2010 and returning to coach the team to a 23rd place finish out of 39 teams at the 2014 World Championships.
ADVNC East Bay and Tahoe Director
Mikie Schlosser is a Davis, California, native and one of the most celebrated lacrosse players to come out of the Sacramento region. While at Davis Senior High School Mikie became the program's most decorated player, twice earning All-American honors and three times being elected captain by his teammates and coaches. Mikie went on to play at the University of Michigan where he was a three year starter at midfield and a two time captain. During his senior year he was a National Strength and Conditioning All American and finished 3rd on the Michigan all time goals list. He graduated in 2017 with a degree in Educational Studies.
In addition to coaching at his alma mater, Davis Senior High School, and the Davis Knights youth program, Mikie is pursuing his graduate degree and a career in youth counseling and education. He currently plays for the Denver Outlaws in Major League lacrosse.

Coach Charles attended Marin Catholic High School and then moved east to coach high school and travel lacrosse in Richmond, VA. He went all around the mid atlantic coaching U13, U15, and high school all at the same time.
Coach Charles feels at home on the field, coaching and building up the confidence and skills in players. He moved back here to California for family reasons and wanted to keep coaching and building up the beautiful sport of lacrosse.
Coach Charles’ philosophy is reinforcing a positive mental attitude with building and rewarding hard work.
