With Labor Day Weekend upon us, it’s incredible to think another Summer Camp season has come and gone. Each year at ADVNC Lacrosse we look forward to the great energy and fun that comes from running camps all over California.
Our 3 Lake Tahoe Camps in Squaw Valley were a highlight, once again. We are proud to say all 3 were at capacity attendance. Thank you to all who came- we are so grateful for your support!
Each of our camps aim to involve the right mix of lacrosse and fun. At the Lake Tahoe overnight and day Camps, a typical morning featured game FUN-damentals and veteran savvy tips from our esteemed roster of top level players-turned coaches. The afternoons mixed competitive game scrimmages, along with challenging hikes and relaxing pool parties. Nights were always fun for everyone, as campers would watch classic lacrosse games on the big screen, many of which were games that the coaches had played in. For many, a fun highlight were the "World Famous Raffles" where campers would win all types of lacrosse gear.
In addition to the camps in Tahoe, each of our regions had day camps for young and developing players. Held in Atherton, Orinda, San Jose and Folsom, these day camps focused on skill specific development and enjoying the game of Lacrosse. Each of the camps were well attended and developed more young players who love the game.
One of the best parts of having these camps is having the some of the biggest names in lacrosse come out and coach the players. We were honored to be joined this summer by current MLL players Mikie Schlosser (Denver Outlaws), Sean Mayle (Chesapeake Bayhawks), Sergio Salcido (Atlanta Blaze), Ryan Tucker (Chesapeake Bayhawks), & Dylan Maltz (Charlotte Hounds) and current NCAA Division I players Joe Tabor (Loyola), Ryan O'Connor (North Carolina), Bryn Evans (Harvard), & Joe Reid (Denver).
Though it takes a lot of hard work, the ADVNC Summer Camps remain one of our favorite things we do. We are already planning our Camps for the Summer of 2019!
