Frequently asked Questions

What is The ADVNC Team Calendar?

The ADVNC calendar matches that of the players school year. Tryouts happen at the end of August and teams remain together through the following July.

This allows teams and players to develop in the fall, break for their spring school seasons, and reform for the summer season. We believe this schedule allows for skill development leading into players Spring school and youth club seasons while also providing the necessary cohesion to compete at the highest level at summer club tournaments.

What is the tournament schedule for each region?

Teams generally play 2 tournaments in the fall, 3 tournaments in the summer, plus additional scrimmages with other clubs. Each regions fall schedule will be posted soon! (Check back at the beginning of August, 2019)

How DO ADVNC EVALUATIONS work?

At each ADVNC tryout we are capping an evaluation process that begins with a player registering for a tryout. It's important for us to get to know players and families as most of our families make year-long commitments to us.  During the tryout players will be put through skill specific and team oriented drills and situations.

As with everything we do, ADVNC's goal is provide the best service and training players experience from any organization. For more information about our tryout process or our program in general, please contact us at (650) 530-2655 or train@advnclacrosse.com.

Which region should I tryout for?

We believe you should find great lacrosse and great coaching in your backyard. That said, our regions are open.

Players and families are allowed to tryout and play for any of our regions, regardless of location.

Players may try out for more than one region.

  • While we encourage players and families to play in the region closest to them, we do not restrict players to playing in the region where they live.

  • All players, regardless of region, are evaluated for the National Development Program.

  • All players receive the support and guidance of ADVNC as they pursue lacrosse at their highest level possible.

  • All players who make an ADVNC team are eligible to participate in the ADVNC Free Agent pool teams attending tournaments
