CHRIS ROTELLI Director, Coach
ADVNC Director Chris Rotelli is one of the most accomplished lacrosse players of all time. Chris was a 3X NCAA All American, 2X First team All American, USILA Midfielder of the Year, 4X MLL All Star, 3X All ACC, ACC Player of the Year, and a 3X High School All American. In 2003 He lead University of Virginia to an NCAA Championship, and was honored as the ACC Male Athlete of the Year, and the Tewaaraton Award, given to the nations most outstanding lacrosse player.
With over 15 years of coaching experience, Rotelli’s goal is to help young players achieve their dreams. With ADVNC Lacrosse, Chris translates his experiences, lessons, and achievements, passing along his secrets to lacrosse players who wish to reap all the benefits from the sport. Chris is the Head Coach at Sacred Heart Prep in Atherton, CA, and was honored as the PAL coach of the year in 2015.

Chris Clements - Defense
Coach Chris Clements was a standout long stick midfielder at the University of Virginia, leading the 2011 National Championship Team as its captain. Chris is a converted offensive player from St. Paul’s School in Baltimore, MD, a leading lacrosse program in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association. This transition demonstrates just one of the many aspects of his “team first” coaching philosophy, which ADVNC players hone and take with them into college and beyond.

Tim Brandau was born in Baltimore, MD and has been playing lacrosse since he was six years old. He was the leading scorer at McDonough School, and played on the 2005 team that was ranked #1 in the national rankings. Tim played his college lacrosse at Bucknell, where he was a four year starter at attack. He finished his career as a top ten goal scorer in program history, two time all Patriot League selection, and was named team captain his senior year. After college, he returned to McDonough School as the offensive coordinator. He helped lead McDonough to top ten rankings in 2012 and 2014, and played a key role in helping 21 players from McDonough earn D1 scholarships. Coach Brandau is in his first year coaching with ADVNC.
Ronjohn Dadd played Attack for Bucknell University graduating in 2013. Grew up in Frederick, Maryland playing lacrosse since 10 years old. At Bucknell we won the patriot league in 2011 and played UVA in the first round of the NCAA. I have been coaching lacrosse since graduation.
Billy Mattimore graduated from Bucknell University in 2012. He started playing lacrosse for the Southern Marin Wolf Pack before he played for four years on the St. Ignatius Varsity Lacrosse team, graduating in 2008 as the team Captain with All American Honors.
Since 2007, Paddy has played on the Ireland National team, recently captaining the field team to a silver medal at the European Championships 2012, leading the midfield in scoring and being selected as a 2nd Team All-European. He has also played transition in two World Indoor Lacrosse Championships (2007 and 2011) and midfield at the World Championships in Manchester 2010. In July 2014, Paddy will play in the World Championships in Denver.
Before moving to the Bay Area and joining ADVNC, Paddy was instrumental in developing and managing the Irish Lacrosse League (men's and women's) since 2009 as a member on the Ireland Lacrosse board. He has also coached teams and run camps at a university level in Ireland and at a middle school level in Philadelphia & New Jersey. He was one of the first qualified level 2 coaches in Ireland.
Maurice Ryan is an assistant coach for the Stanford Men's Lacrosse Program. A New Jersey native, Mo Played lacrosse at St. Peter's Prep and later moved onto Marquette University, serving as the team captain his junior and senior year. Since graduating, Mo has held coaching positions ranging from Defensive Coordinator to Head Coach and been to two NJ state championship games, winning in 2008 with Morristown Beard. An active scout, Mo looks forward to helping ADVNC both on and off the field.
Coach Kevin Kelley is from Needham, Massachusetts and played goalie at Providence College. From 2004-2009 he was the head coach of Piedmont High School. Currently, Kevin is the goalie coach at UC Berkeley and is the director of the Oakland Lacrosse Club a non-profit that uses the sport of lacrosse as a medium to provide mentoring, nutrition education, and academic enrichment. For Advnc, Kevin will be working with all the goalies and coaching the 7th grade team.
Carlos played college lacrosse at the United State Military Academy at West Point (Div I) from 1990 to 1994 including a trip to the NCAA Division I Quarterfinals in 1993.
His coaching career began at Stanford where he was the Defensive Coordinator from 1999 to 2002, helping lead that team to its first and only USCLA National Championship game in 2001. He then took over as Head Coach at Chapman University, again taking that team to its first National Championship appearance in 2003. Coach Trujillo spent 2005 as the Defensive Coordinator for Div II NDNU and was the Assistant Head Coach at Bellarmine College Prep from 2006 through 2008 and the Head Coach for Archbishop Mitty from 2009 to 2013.
Over the last 5 years, Coach Trujillo has been the Head Coach for the Mexican National Team, leading them in their inaugural World Championship in 2010 and returning to coach the team to a 23rd place finish out of 39 teams at the 2014 World Championships.
Joe Rabinowitz is the Head Boys Lacrosse Coach at Monte Vista High School in Danville, CA. He held the same position at Bishop O'Dowd High School in Oakland for 4 years prior to being at MV. Joe played lacrosse at Berkeley High School (class of '01), and at The University of Arizona (class of '06). Joe also served as the offensive coordinator for Colombia's Senior Men's National Team at the 2014 FIL World Championship Games.
Matt grew up in Northern Virginia and began playing competitive lacrosse in 2nd grade. He played High school lacrosse at Robinson Secondary School as an attackman, with his team winning state titles in 2006, 2007. He holds the school record with 312 career points. He played his college lacrosse career at the University of Virginia, switching to the midfield. Helped team win an ACC championship in 2010 and a National Championship in 2011. He was elected team captain his senior year.
First year coaching with ADVNC and very excited for the opportunity to work with a field of rising stars. He has coached on the east coast for 10+ years at multiple levels ranging from preschool players to high school seniors.
Alex Boches is from Beverly Massachusetts and has been coaching with ADVNC for the past year and a half. Alex, a midfielder, played four years of DIII college lacrosse at Colby College ('11) and prior to that played at Beverly High School where he was named All-American in 2007. With over 10 years of coaching experience both at the high school and youth levels, Alex is excited to be with ADVNC and coaching the Bay Area's top talent.
Davis joined the ADVNC Team in summer of 2014. He grew up in the East Bay Area and started playing lacrosse at 12 years old as a midfielder. Attending Campolindo High School in Moraga, CA he transitioned to defense and long stick midfield. After playing 4 years of collegiate lacrosse, Davis graduated from University of California Santa Cruz in 2014. He has been coaching youth lacrosse for almost 10 years.
Eric started his playing career in Sacramento, California with one of the first youth teams to come to the Central Valley. He played Midfield for Bella Vista High School where he was voted Varsity MVP 2 years in a row. He continued his career at Stanford University where he is currently a Junior. The Cardinal claimed it's second WCLL title and first National Tournament win in 2015.
Eric's coachinz career began with the Fair Oaks Lacrosse Club; the same club where he started as a player. He then joined the Thunder Elite program before finding his home with ADVNC lacrosse. This will be his 5th year coaching.
Zack has been playing lacrosse / goalie since 7th grade. He's from Los Altos Hills and is a product of the Palo Alto Tomahawks Club system. Zack graduated from Gunn High School in '07 and went to Stanford, playing for the Cardinal all 4 years he was there. He's excited to get back onto the lacrosse field and help kids grow and mature in this sport.
Coach Cardente has played lacrosse for 28 plus years and played in college at Elmira College in New York. An experienced midfielder and long stick middie, Coach Cardente is known for his passionate and holistic approach to coaching. Coach Cardente is currently the assistant coach at Sacred Heart Prep, in Atherton.
